Workplay Publishing takes its role of independent publication seriously, accepting
and publishing only professional quality manuscripts by dedicated authors. Even
more importantly, Workplay realizes that publication it is not the sole purpose of
writing, and will enthusiastically advise and support any writer at any stage of the
writing process.
Our Team
André Swartley
Co-Owner / Copy & Design Editor / Test Reader
André is an award-winning author of four novels with over over fifteen years of experience teaching English, including Creating Writing. He has served as freelance writer for various local and national media outlets including RR Donnelly, The Bluffton Icon, Hot English Magazine, and GamerU. In his personal writing, André has worked on projects with respected industry editors Alan Rinzler and Juliet Ullman.
Kate Swartley
Co-Owner / Copy & Design Editor / Test Reader
Kate has nearly a decade of experience teaching university level Spanish. Outside class, she is a speedy, bilingual, and omnivorous reader. Her literary interests run the gamut from Cervantes to Harry Potter to Japanese manga.
